Great! It is calming and can empowering, like a deep pleasant day-dream. We all experience self-hypnosis: many of us when we are sitting at a red light (unfortunately).
Anyone who (really) wants to be hypnotized can be.
Yes, but altered only by you to the extent that your subconscious feels secure and comfortable allowing you to use the hypnotist as your ‘guide,’ and effect those changes your mind desires. We all experience trance-like altered states of consciousness throughout our days and certainly while sleeping.
When practiced by a certified professional who has only your best interests in mind.
Absolutely not! Even Stage Hypnotists state that there is no way to elicit behavior that somebody does not want.
Just like medical professionals, lawyers, and others in the helping professions, confidentiality is assured and maintained.
It all depends upon what challenge is being addressed and your degree of commitment. Becoming a nonsmoker, for example – typically requires anywhere from 4-6 sessions, though it has been known to require less. Some issues are solved in just one. My objective is to get the job done in as few sessions as possible and still effect lasting favorable changes.
I do use a sliding fee scale, however the minimum fee is $125 for a 40 minute to 1 hour session. Sometimes we may go a little longer to get the job done, and sometimes a little less. A discount is offered for multiple sessions (minimum of 5). Payments are by check, Zelle, Cash, or Paypal and due in advance. Clients are responsible for payment for a session they may miss if they do not reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. I do offer a free 15-minute consultation to a potential client by phone or Zoom.
It is easier to simply state that I do not work with severe mental disorders, drug and alcohol addiction. I address severe medical problems only when referred by and in cooperation with your Physician – in writing. But some of my favorites are: Anxiety, Phobias, Performance Enhancement, Ego Enhancement, Interpersonal relationships, Gender/choice issues, Eating- Disorders and Body Image.
Yes, we can – depending upon the technical resources you have available, your location, and the nature of what you wish to accomplish. I prefer, however, a more ‘fireside’ approach — with me in one chair and you facing me in another. It is faster and I feel it may be more effective.
