It is said we are born into this life with only two fears: fear of loud noises, and fear of falling over backwards. All other fears are learned over time and stored in our unconscious mind. That is where all our sense of self-image, and habits (good and bad) are also stored.
An illustrating story: When I was only 3 (I had excellent long-term memory – don’t ask me about short-term, as I am 70 years old) – I had just been put to bed in my crib. It was dark in the room, and perhaps a little warm. Consequently, I did what I had developed a habit of doing, according to my parents who were concerned about me trapping my legs. I slipped my bare feet between the crib bars out into the air. I can still remember the cool air kissing my toesies. Oh, it felt wonderful!
And all of a sudden, pain! Something bit my big toe! Really! Not a mosquito-like bite, but a crunch big-time down with giant teeth. In pain, I pulled my feet back onto the mattress from between the bars, and frightened, I cried myself to sleep.
I sort of forgot about it over time. But I would never sleep with my feet off the bed, for a moment… until I was in my late 30’s. One day I described what I remembered of the event to my older sister. She was known to be quite jealous of me as a child, though we are now thick as thieves now. “That was ME,” she declared.” “ I sneaked in and bit your toe because I was jealous and angry.”
What fears were introduced in your life that now limit your productivity? Certainly, the fear of extending my feet beyond the mattress did not limit my development. But do you experience Fear of flying or perhaps the big one: FEAR OF PUBLIC SPEAKING!!!? Perhaps it is a more complex one: fear of failure, or even success. All of these fears reside in your unconscious mind, whose role is to protect your ‘inner child”.

Hypnosis is the most efficient way to access the unconscious mind. Together we can identify the source of the fear – and defeat it. Your unconscious will still protect your inner child but will be relieved that there is no longer one thing to have to take care of. And, my voice will go with you.
